Honda to launch three new two-wheelers in India by 2023
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) recently announced its plans to launch two electric scooters in India in the financial year 2024. At the same time, it has also confirmed three new ICE two-wheelers.
As a part of its plan, Honda aims to launch a new 125cc scooter, a 160cc motorcycle, and a 350cc bike. While the 125cc and 160cc offerings will arrive in the coming months, the 350cc motorcycle will arrive during Diwali.
The upcoming 125cc scooter is likely to share its underpinnings with the on-sale Activa 125. It might be developed as a modern scooter, targeting Gen-Z and Millenials. Hence the 125cc scooter is expected to get a youthful appearance that resembles the Dio. On the other hand, Honda may introduce the new 160cc motorcycle to rival the likes of Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj NS 160 or even make it a neo-retro style bike.
The upcoming 350cc motorcycle will be the centre of attention. This bike is likely to utilise the 350cc platform as the Hness CB350 and CB350 RS. With this platform, Honda could be developing a cruiser and neo-retro naked motorcycle to compete against the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 or Hunter 350.
In other news, Honda recently introduced factory custom kits for the Hness CB350 and CB350 RS. The Hness CB350 comes with four kits: a cafe racer, comfort, Solo Carrier, and Tourer, while the CB350 RS gets two kits cafe racer and SUV.
