Hop Electric updates its OXO electric bike with the latest firmware version
Two-wheeler EV manufacturer Hop Electric has announced new updates for the OXO electric bike. As a part of this, the e-bike gets the latest VCU firmware over-the-air update (FOTA) versions 4.90, which claims to improve acceleration, and better connectivity, and battery range prediction. The prices of the Hop OXO EV start at Rs 1,64,999 (ex-showroom).
Hop OXO electric bike: Highlights
Launched in November 2022, the deliveries of OXO electric bike began in December last year. The company commenced deliveries of the first batch, consisting 2,500 units of the OXO in Jaipur. It then claimed that the OXO has received 10,000 bookings within a couple of months of its launch.
Hop OXO new software update: What is new?
With the introduction of version 4.90 via firmware over-the-air update, the OXO electric motorcycle is claimed to offer better acceleration in the Eco mode and the low-speed mode. The OXO now features improved connectivity with 4G compatibility and revised network latching. Above all, it now shows accurate battery range on the instrument console with the help of algorithms, which are based on real-time battery health and usage.
Hop OXO: Colours and variants
The electric bike is available in five different shades: Candy Red, and True Black, Midnight Blue, Electric Yellow, and Twilight Grey. It is available in two variants: OXO standard and OXO with Pro Package.
Hop OXO: Specifications
The OXO is powered by a 3.75kWh battery pack. With this, its standard variant has a claimed range of 135km, while it provides a range of 150km with the Pro Package. An electric motor produces 3kW and 185Nm of torque (200Nm with Pro Package). The OXO comes with three riding modes: Eco, Power, and Sport. The top speed for the standard variant is rated at 90kmph, whereas the OXO Pro Package tops out at 95kmph. To charger it from zero to 100 per cent takes a claimed five hours. Apart from that, the Hop has given it a five-inch LCD display, single-disc setup at both ends, and Bluetooth connectivity, among others.
