Husqvarna Norden 901 ADV concept confirmed for production, will rival Triumph Tiger 900 and BMW 850 GSA

Last month at the EICMA 2019:s how, Husqvarna unveiled the interesting looking Norden 901 concept, which is essentially an ADV but with a retro design. This one is based on the 901 series using the parallel twin from KTM's platform that will be Euro 5-compliant. And now the company has confirmed the Norden 901 will go into production. Husqvarna mentions, breaking cover for the first time during the International Motorcycle show in Italy, the Norden 901 received high levels of interest from the hundreds of thousands of attending motorcycle fans as well as the motorcycle media. Now set to become a key addition to Husqvarna Motorcycles' street line-up, the dynamic and versatile long-distance traveller will offer the modern motorcycle rider a balance of practical accessibility and comfort.

Forming Husqvarna Motorcycles' vision of an adventure-touring motorcycle, the Norden 901 is a dynamic, twin-cylinder motorcycle that features advanced rider ergonomics and high performance based on years of rally experience. Featuring distinct, modern design, it delivers both outstanding street and offroad performance. Class-leading lightness and power delivery is set in a versatile and accessible package, precisely arranged to allow discerning riders uncompromising exploration possibilities. Delivering effortless ride ability and high-end modern equipment the Norden 901 can be used on daily commutes, extended adventures and everything in between, it further added.

In line with the retro styling of the Husqvarna motorcycles, this flagship ADV too gets round LED headlamp, LED turn indicators integrated with the fairing. Also a detailed look at the under belly section and one can notice the bash plate that can take care of the stones and other objects while riding on trails. The features list on the Husqvarna's Norden concept includes smartphone connectivity, LED tail lamp and also mounts for panniers and knuckle guards. This will be powered by a parallel twin liquid cooled 900cc motor.

The highlights of the production-spec motorcycle are the lightweight design,  889.5 cc parallel twin engine specifically tuned for adventure usage, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels followed by WP suspension setup. The Husqvarna Norden 901 will lock horns with the likes of Triumph Tiger 900 Rally, Ducati Multistrada 950, BMW 850 GSA and also the Honda Africa Twin.
