Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 Turbo GDi launched, prices start from Rs 16.74 lakh
Hyundai has released prices for the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol Alcazar SUV. The Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 turbo petrol has a starting price of Rs 16.74 lakh for the base 7-seat Prestige manual model and a top-spec Alcazar Signature (O) six-seat automatic model, costing Rs 20.25 lakh.
The new 1.5-litre GDi turbo-petrol engine, which replaces the outdated 2-litre naturally-aspirated (NA) petrol plant, is the centrepiece of the Alcazar's 2023 revisions. It has a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a seven-speed DCT automatic transmission is available on higher-specified models. It produces 160PS and 253Nm.
The 1.5-litre diesel engine in the Alcazar has also been modified to comply with RDE standards and produces 116PS and 250Nm. In addition to the normal manual transmission, it ought to have a six-speed automatic transmission option.
Hyundai claims that the Alcazar 1.5 turbo-petrol produces a claimed 18 kmpl for the DCT and 17.5 kmpl for the manual gearbox option. It also comes with integrated start-stop technology. As for safety, all Alcazar models now come standard with six airbags, including side and curtain airbags. The Alcazar now has a fresh-looking grille, and higher models have new puddle lights.
Hyundai's three-row SUV competes with models like the Hector Plus, Innova Hycross, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700 and sits below just below the Tucson.
