Hyundai Verna 1.5-litre Turbo Vs 1.5-litre NA: Differences
The newly launched Hyundai Verna is quite an attractive car and offers a great list of features on board. The car will join the mid-size sedan race in the market which has grown in popularity of late. The Verna is offered in 2 different engine options and let's take a look at what are the differences between the 2 models.
Comparing the turbo model to the regular petrol variant, you can see a little difference in the grille design. The 16-inch all-black alloy wheels and red inlays on the front brake callipers are exclusive to the turbo models. The non-turbo versions, on the other hand, receive the identical wheel design but in a dual-tone colour.
The four disk brakes that will ensure you have ample stopping force are also only available on the top-spec turbo version. Also, both variations receive custom bumper designs. While the turbo has its own engine badging, the NA engines have different badging on the boot.
Seven classic monochromatic colour tones are offered: Titan Grey, Tellurian Brown, Typhoon Silver, Fiery Red, Atlas White, Abyss Black, and Starry Night. Nevertheless, only the Turbo versions of the Altas White and Fiery Red colours have a black roof.
The biggest difference between the 2 variants is obviously in the engine bay. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine makes 115PS and 144 Nm, while the turbo-petrol engine makes 160PS and 253 Nm. The CVT and DCT are options for NA and turbo petrol, respectively, while a six-speed manual is the standard transmission.
The fuel economy of the NA is up to 19.6 kmpl (CVT), whereas the fuel efficiency of the turbo-petrol is up to 20.6 kmpl (DCT).
The interiors of the turbo variants are complete in black with red accents on the dashboard and seats, electric parking brakes, and metal pedals. In the NA unit, the more subdued dual-tone beige and black upholstery is made available.
The two vehicles have the same ADAS functions, but the turbo engine has two extra features thanks to its DCT transmission: vehicle departure warning and adaptive cruise control.
Finally, the Hyundai Verna naturally aspirated range starts from Rs 10.90 lakh while the prices for a Turbo variant start from 14.83 lakh.
