Yamaha blew us all away when they unveiled the MT-10. Using an R1 engine and an R1 frame, the MT-10 is the R1's street-ready brother. It has a whole "Transformers" look going, and in the grey and florescent yellow colours, it is completely drool worthy. In the UK, the MT-10 is priced at roughly Rs 10 lakh, which is within reach of the GSX-S1000. Expect it to be way more expensive when it comes to India though.

We used to think that the Kawasaki Z1000 was the meanest motorcycle in the world. The MT-10 has just proved us wrong

The MT-10 is what you get when you take an R1 and soften it down

Essentially, it uses an R1 chassis and an R1 engine in a milder state of tune to make an urban streetfighter that looks mean as hell

It is a design direction that we have never seen from any mainstream motorcycle manufacturer and is a drastic departure from Yamaha's usual design language

Yamaha says that despite mechanical similarities, the MT-10 is not an R1 for the road. The characteristics are completely different

The crossplane, inline-four motor makes 160PS and 111Nm of torque

Get one in the grey and flo-yellow colour scheme, and you'll surely turn heads wherever you go
