Triumph India surprised almost everyone with the attractive pricing of the 2018 Tiger 1200 at Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom, India. Here are the live updates from the launch event. The 2018 Tiger 1200 also gets adaptive cornering lights, while several features from the 2018 Triumph Tiger 800 that was launched in the country recently have been carried over, including all-LED headlamps

That's the high-resolution TFT display and illuminated switchgear, similar to what we have seen on the naked sport Triumph Street Triple RS.

The Tiger 1200's 1,215cc, liquid-cooled, in-line three-cylinder engine produces 141PS which Triumph claims is the highest in its class for a shaft-driven motorcycle along with 122Nm.

The 2018 Tiger 1200 also gets new riding modes and a hill-hold function to enhance its rideability further. Also, what's new is the off-road pro mode that is the sixth mode in the different options.

The new additions to the 2018 Tiger 1200 include keyless ignition, hill hold function and also a bi-directional quick-shifter.
