We have just ridden the 2019 KTM 125 Duke ABS and there are many things we like about it. The motorcycle was launched late last month at a price of Rs 1.18 lakh (ex-showroom) and features ABS only for the front wheel. It is closer in price to the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3 than other 125cc machines. What sets it apart is that the 125 Duke uses almost everything but the engine from its larger 200cc sibling. This gives it an edge in the Indian market which has had a slot open for a hardcore, sporty 125cc motorcycle that will be used to commute as well as be track-worthy when needed. Is the new baby Duke the right fit? Here's a closer look:

The 2019 KTM 125 Duke comes shod with the same MRF Revz tyres in the 110/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear profiles as its 200cc sibling

The familiar dash from the current gen 200 Duke, 250 Duke, and the previous gen 390 Duke makes an appearance here

The trellis frame which the larger 390 Duke is able to utilise fully does not feel stressed by the 125 Duke's performance. This offers a new rider even more stability to make more corrections
