Image gallery: 2021 Tata Tiago NRG facelift
Tata Motors recently relaunched the SUV-themed version of the Tata Tiago hatchback, the Tata Tiago NRG, in India. The Tiago NRG is priced at Rs 6.57 lakh for the manual and the petrol AMT is priced at Rs 7.09 lakh, ex-showroom.
The Tiago NRG carries over the same engine-gearbox combination as the standard Tata Tiago. This means a 1,199cc three-cylinder petrol engine with 86PS and 113 Nm. The engine should pair with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT option. The Tiago NRG is equipped with a revised suspension tune and an 11mm increase in ground clearance to 181mm to handle rougher terrain than the standard Tiago.

The Tata Tiago gets newly designed body cladding with silver faux scuff plates and bullbar like panels
These 15-inch steel wheels are specific to the NRG, which their alloy-wheel mimicking look
The body cladding continues to the sides with prominent panels over the wheel arches and door sills  Â
More SUV-themed touches include blacked-out mirrors, door handles, roof rails and black wrap on the C-pillar and roof
There's black cladding on the boot of the Tata Tiago NRG as well as the chunkier silver-highlighted body cladding on the bumper
The interiors are a straight lift from the standard Tiago but with an all-black theme and different seat upholstery

The Tiago NRG is based on the top-spec Tiago and gets a full suite of creature comforts like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto/Apple Carplay and 8 speakers, a digital instrument cluster, push-button start, steering mounted controls, height-adjustable driver's seat and auto-folding outer mirrors, among other things. Climate control from top Tiago replaced with manual AC here
This is the new button-less Harman infotainment system rolling out across Tata models, also gets a different interface from the earlier version
