We've recently driven the Tesla Model S P100D and the Tesla Model X P100D electric vehicles. These are the quickest versions of both cars and are powered by a 100 kWh battery pack and comes with a dual electric motor setup which effectively gives them all-wheel drive and torque vectoring capabilities.
The Tesla Model S P100D is the quickest accelerating four-door car in the world. It gets from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.9s and onto a top speed of more than 250 kmph. The sedan, with this high capacity battery, also has an impressive range of 500km.
The Model X P100D SUV, on the other hand, gets to 100 kmph in 3.1s and onto 250 kmph. The SUV goes 465km on a full charge. The EV can be specified in 5,6 and 7-seater configurations.
Other than this, both vehicles get a full suite of driver aids and semi-autonomous driving capability. The interior design is minimalistic but dominated by an Ipad-style 17-inch touchscreen.
See how these cars are quite special and not something you're likely to see in the country anytime soon, we've put down an image gallery below
