India-spec Nissan X-Trail colour options and interior revealed
Nissan unveiled the new X-Trail for the Indian market about 2 years ago and now is finally gearing up to launch the car. Nissan has now teased a few features and exterior colours that will be available with the upcoming X-Trial. The X-Trail is anticipated to go up against the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster when it launches.
The Upcoming X-Trail will be available in Black, White and what looks like a shade of Bronze. Regarding appearance, the X-Trail adopts the well-known family look with the large V-motion front grille and the LED headlights positioned on the bumper. The top of the vehicle has been equipped with wraparound daytime running lights. While the back of the X-Trail has several cuts and body creases below and above the number plate recess, the side of the vehicle gains significant wheel arches.
The cabin appears to be a dual-tone finish and a good blend of premium materials. Nissan plans to sell the X-Trail in a 7-seater form with a bench seat in the middle row, along with leatherette upholstery. Soft-touch dashboard material, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a digital driver's display, a floating 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Bose sound system and a suite of ADAS tech are among the features that will be included.
The highlight, though, is what's beneath the hood, where you can choose a traditional 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 163PS or a potent hybrid powertrain with 204PS in front-wheel drive and 213PS in four-wheel drive. Nissan is calling its hybrid powertrain 'e-Power' and it is a combination of a three-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. Nissan hasn't confirmed which powertrain will be made available for India but we expect it to be the 4-wheel drive setup.
Upon its arrival, vis the CBU route the X-Trial will take on the likes of more premium SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and so on. We don't expect the X-Trial to be cheap either as it could be priced closer to Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).
