Jeep Avenger EV makes global debut at 2022 Paris Motor Show
At the 2022 Paris Motor Show, Jeep unveiled the Avenger SUV in production form. The Avenger is a unique car for Jeep and the company's first all-electric SUV.
A 54kWh battery pack powers the Avenger's 156PS and 260Nm electric motor, which turns the front wheels. The SUV has a range of 400 km according to WLTP, which increases to 550 km on the urban cycle. Additionally, the battery pack enables fast charging and can be charged from 20 to 80 percent using a 100kW fast charger in just 24 minutes.
AWD variants of the car will be made available later on.
The Jeep Avenger retains the characteristics of a classic Jeep SUV despite being the first SUV in the brand's electrified lineup. Starting with the front, square headlights with integrated horizontal LED DRLs are placed on each side of the front grille's distinctive seven-box shape.
The bumpers receive black cladding and silver skid plates, which enhance the SUV's appearance of ruggedness. The Avenger looks attractive and contemporary thanks to additional features including flared wheel arches, a rear door handle situated on the C-pillar, a dual-tone paint job, 18-inch alloy wheels, and smoked tail lights with an 'X' design.
The Jeep Avenger's interior design is straightforward. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is integrated with the air conditioning vents, ambient lighting, and a yellow insert in the centre of the dashboard, which also breaks up the monotony of the dashboard being entirely black.
Additionally, the front seats are electrically adjustable, and the driver's display is entirely digital. Due to the lack of a transmission tunnel, the majority of the 34 litres of front storage on the Avenger is in the centre. Adaptive cruise control, lane centring, traffic jam assistance, traffic sign recognition, a blind-spot monitor, and sleepy driver warning are just a few of the Level 2 ADAS features that the Avenger boasts of.
