Kawasaki launches 2023 Versys 1000 at Rs 12.19 lakh

After launching the 2023 Z H2 and Z H2 SE in India, Japanese bike maker Kawasaki has now launched the 2023 Versys 1000 at Rs 12.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The BMW F 900 XR and Tiger 850 Sport rival is available in a single trim level.

2023 Kawasaki Versys 1000: Design and Colour

Unlike its rivals, the 2023 Versys 1000 is offered in only a single dual-tone paint option, that is, Metallic Matte Graphensteel Grey with Metallic Spark Black. Moreover, it remains identical to its predecessor in terms of design. The litre-class adventure tourer carries forward an angular face with split headlamps, a split seat, an adjustable windscreen, a rugged rear luggage rack, and alloy wheels.

2023 Kawasaki Versys 1000: Features and Electronics

Kawasaki has bestowed the Versys 1000 with a host of features, such as electronic cruise control, Bosch IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) with Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF), all-LED lights, a semi-digital console, anti-lock braking system, assist and slipper clutch, electronic throttle valve, and traction control. Notably, the 2023 Versys 1000 gets a DC socket as standard, which was earlier available as an optional extra.

In terms of mechanicals, the adventure tourer features 310mm twin discs at the front, a 250mm single-disc at the back, 17-inch tyres at both ends, 43mm upside-down front forks, and a rear mono-shock. It is to be noted that the front forks and rear suspension are adjustable for rebound damping and preload.

2023 Kawasaki Versys 1000: Engine

The 2023 Kawasaki Versys gets a 1,043cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled DOHC motor mated to a six-speed gearbox. This engine produces 120PS at 9,000rpm and 102Nm of torque at 7,500rpm.
