Kia EV6 ARAI-certified driving range figure revealed
The Kia EV6 has been tested under the ARAI test cycle, thus now offering a travel range of 708km, while its WLTP-certified driving range stands at 528km. It is to be noted that the ARAI-tested 708km range figure is only applicable for the EV6 GT Line RWD variant.
Kia EV6 bookings and delivery schedule
The South Korean automaker had planned only 100 CBU units of the EV6 for the Indian market. However, it received 356 reservations until its launch day itself. Thus, the brand has increased the total allocation of the EV6 units. Notably, it has managed to deliver over 200 units of the EV so far. Kia intends to complete most of the pending deliveries by the end of 2022.

The EV6 comes equipped with a host of features, such as adaptive LED headlights, LED taillights with a full-length light bar, vehicle-to-load, Kia Connect with over 60 features, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, eight airbags, dual-zone temperature control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats with driver seat memory function, ventilated front seats, three driving modes: normal, eco, and sport; 64 colours ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, augmented reality heads-up display, a 12.3-inch driver screen, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and over 10 ADAS features.
Kia EV6 range, battery, and performance
The EV6's GT Line RWD and GT Line AWD variants are powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack. While the single-motor setup makes 229PS and 350Nm of torque, the power output of the dual-motor variant is rated at 325PS and 605Nm of torque. With the support of 800-volt charging architecture, the EV6 can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes with an ultrafast 350kW charger. The 150kW chargers installed at the Kia dealerships can charge it from 10 to 80 per cent in 40 minutes, while a 50kW charger takes 73 minutes.
