Kia India launch the Anniversary Edition of the Kia Sonet

Kia India has announced the introduction of the Anniversary Edition of the Kia Sonet to commemorate the first successful year of Kia's smart urban-compact SUV. The Anniversary Edition of the Sonet will be a limited edition vehicle and will be sold till March 2022.

The Kia Sonet's unique tiger-nose grille includes hot-stamped tangerine highlights for the Anniversary Edition. In addition, the new Sonet has Aurochs side skid plates, as well as side door garnish and centre wheel caps in tangerine accent and an anniversary edition logo, for a more aggressive and butch appearance. This special Anniversary Edition is based on the Sonet's existing HTX trim.

Then there's the 1.5-litre diesel engine, which will be available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver and Gravity Grey are the four exterior colours available for the Kia Sonet Anniversary Edition.

Tae-Jin Park, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Kia India said, "The Sonet has been one of our breakthrough products that have contributed to Kia's success in India. With sales of more than one lakh units in less than a year, the Sonet has already established itself as one of India's highest-selling compact SUVs. To celebrate this adoration, we are excited to launch the anniversary edition of the Sonet. Carved out of sheer design excellence, the Anniversary edition Sonet is based on the concept of Aurochs and boasts a muscular look offering a bolder and premium driving experience to our young-at-heart customers."
