Kia Seltos gets 2 new ADAS variants to keep up with demand

Kia India has introduced two more versions to the newly released Seltos facelift: the GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S), priced at Rs 19.39 lakh and Rs 19.59 lakh, respectively (ex-showroom). These versions attempt to close the gap between the premium HTX+ variant and the GTX+ and X-Line models by reducing wait times.

Instead of Bose audio systems, the new Seltos variations include a 6-speaker audio system and a Rear Camera, and the Surround View Monitor is available in the GTX+ and X-Line variants. ADAS, dual infotainment displays, 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, and an automatic parking brake remain available from Kia.

Customers may also get an all-black roof liner for an extra Rs 20,000. According to Kia India, the Seltos GTX+ (S) and Seltos X-Line (S) would have a two-month waiting period.

The New Seltos has crossed the 50,000 reservations mark in just over two months since bookings began. The firm has seen an overwhelming demand for top-of-the-line variations, which account for 77 percent of total reservations.

The new models are available with petrol and diesel engines, mated to a six-speed automatic and seven-speed DCT transmission, respectively. The turbo-petrol engine produces 160PS and 253Nm of torque. As for the diesel, it is a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with outputs of 116PS and 250Nm.

Commenting on the introduction, Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head of Sales and Marketing â€" Kia India, said, "There is no better way to win customers hearts than offering them quick access to their most loved car. The average waiting period on the new Seltos line-up is about 15-16 weeks, which will be cut down to 7-9 weeks with the introduction of these new variants assuring deliveries before Diwali. These variants have been carefully designed for the tech-savvy customers who don't want to compromise on the looks, tech and ADAS assisted safety systems but want quick delivery.
