KTM 890 Adventure R and 1290 Adventure S launched in India
KTM has launched several bikes today and 2 of them are a new pair of Adventure bikes. The new 890 Adventure R and 1290 Adventure S are priced at Rs 15.80 lakh and Rs 22.74 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. Both bikes will be available at all new KTM flagship stores in seven cities, starting with Bengaluru and Pune.
An upgraded 1,301cc V-twin engine powers the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, producing 160PS at 9,000 rpm and 138 Nm at 6,500 rpm. It has a 17-inch rear wheel and a 19-inch front wheel with a 267mm rear disc and a 320mm dual-disc layout upfront.
A WP semi-active USD fork up front and a WP semi-active monoshock down back handle suspension chores. Electronic rider aids including cornering ABS, traction control, riding modes, cruise control, and off-road ABS settings are also included with the 890 Adventure. All of the capabilities, including turn-by-turn navigation, call and audio management, and smartphone compatibility, may be toggled on the TFT screen.
KTM 890 Adventure R
The 890 Adventure R was launched alongside its naked sibling, the 890 Duke R. It stands extremely tall, has robust bodywork all around and looks ready to conquer any terrain.
It is based on the 890 chassis and is propelled by the same parallel-twin, 889cc engine. The motor is good enough for 105PS at 8,000 rpm and 100Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
The KTM 890 Adventure R is supported by an adjustable WP Apex monoshock and WP Apex 43mm front USD forks. It has a single rear disc and two front discs set on spoke wheels with Pirelli Scorpion STR tyres.
