Lamborghini India posts record-breaking sales in India; global sales crosses 10,000 units mark
Italian super car marque Lamborghini reported record-breaking sales in fiscal year 2023. It sold 103 vehicles in India, crossing the triple-digital sales mark for the first time in its history. The sales in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) went up by four per cent at 2,660 units. Not only that, Lamborghini also registered best-ever global sales, reporting a sales of 10,000 cars (10,112 to be specific) for the first time last year, including another record-breaking figures, that is, revenues of â¬2.66 billion, 12.1 per cent up compared to 2022.
In terms of worldwide model-wise sales, the Urus continued to be the single highest-seller for Lamborghini, with 6,087 units sold in FY2023, followed 3,962 units delivered of the Huracan. Additionally, the sales of 63 models powered by the iconic V12 included 12 units of the Aventador and 51 special models. Meanwhile, the Urus also has been the best-selling model for the brand in the country.
The operating margin has increased constantly since 2017 and reached a record 27.2 per cent in the previous year. As a result, for the first time, it passed the â¬700 million threshold at Euro 723 million, 17.8 per cent higher than 2022.
Apart from that, Lamborghini is set to commence customer deliveries of the Revuelto this year. Notably, the brand has a strong order bank, covering production for over two years. Not to mention, the order book also covers the period up to the end of production for the Huracan and Urus. It is to be noted that, these models will be replaced by a new hybrid powertrain by 2024.
