Launched â 2012 Hyundai Elantra in India
Hyundai Motors India Limited has launched the 2012 Neo Fluidic Elantra. Priced at Rs 12.51 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi for the base petrol and Rs 12.91 lakh for the base diesel, the 2012 Hyundai Elantra is available in seven variants - four diesel and three petrol. The fifth generation Elantra comes with the family fluidic design language with aesthetically stretched over the hood headlamps and longer fenders. Its overall profile shows a very swoopy silhouette with the roofline sharply falling towards the rear. The tail lamps are longer sleeker units that sweep from the boot onto the rear fenders sharply.
Inside, the car gets two-tone upholstery, ventilated and powered seats, heated mirrors, dual-zone AC, audio controls for the rear passengers, cruise control, follow me home headlamps and hill-start assist for the top-end variant. It also boasts of six airbags and a first in segment rear parking camera with display in the RVM. There are two engines on offer âÂ" the 149.5PS 1.8-litre petrol and the 128PS 1.6-litre diesel. Both the engines are available with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.
