Lexus LX to launch in India towards the end of 2022
Lexus unveiled its biggest offering, the new Lexus LX 600, last year and the SUV is expected to make its way to the Indian shores towards the end of 2022.
The Lexus LX has been on sale since 1995 and is presently in its fourth generation. The new LX 600 is powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V-6 that produces 415PS and 650 Nm of torque and is based on the same body-on-frame GA-F chassis. The Lexus LX will also be mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox with a two-speed transfer case that distributes power to all four wheels.
The 2022 Lexus LX features a new design, but it keeps the same 112-inch wheelbase and larger-than-life presence as past versions of Lexus' flagship. A three-dimensional, seven-bar spindle grille serves as the focal point of the redesigned fascia on the top-end "Ultra Luxury" variant. From the front clip to the rear, the new LX resembles the previous car, with the exception of a small modification in the side profile, which has more muscular lines, creases, and bulges than the original LX 570.
With a new dual-screen infotainment system (12.3-inch upper and 7-inch lower) and a digital instrument cluster, the cabin improves significantly over the older LX 570. The LX 600 will also be available in an Ultra Luxury variant, featuring a spacious back seat and a plethora of luxury amenities for the rear passengers.
The Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is included in the new LX, and it includes a variety of driver-support features such as automated emergency braking, intelligent high lights, radar cruise control, lane departure alert and roadside help.
We expect the new Lexus LX to come to India towards the climax of 2022 with a price tag of over Rs 2 crore.
