Limited-edition Ducati Panigale V4 Anniversario 916 is a tribute to the iconic 916
The Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati had recently announced a limited edition offering based on its Panigale V4 superbike. Called the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916, it celebrates 25 years of the iconic Ducati 916. Ducati states that this limited edition will consist of only 500 individually numbered bikes that will sport an original livery and exclusive racing components. The motorcycle will be unveiled on July 12 during this weekend's American round of the Superbike championship at Laguna Seca that will be attended by four times world champion, Carl Fogarty. Aruba.it Racing-Ducati team riders, lvaro Bautista and Chaz Davies will compete on bikes with a special livery inspired by the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916.
Ducati has not let out much information on the details and specifications, which we believe will be identical to that of the Panigale V4. Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 is the new Desmosedici Stradale V4 which is a 4-cylinder offering and is very similar to the MotoGP engine. Ducati has kept the 81mm bore but increased the swept volume to make it a 1,100cc to help with more road-going torque. The new engine makes 214PS at 13,000rpm and 124Nm of torque between 8,750rpm and 12,250rpm. Last year, Ducati India also launched the Panigale V4 R, at Rs 51.87 lakh (ex-showroom India). It replaced the 1299 at the top of the Ducati superbike range. It has race-grade Ãhlins suspension with mechanical adjustment and an aluminium swingarm with an adjustable four-position axle. Electronic controls have been borrowed from the Panigale V4 S now but have revised threshold levels for more competent riders.
