Limited-run BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition launched at Rs 2.02 crore
BMW India has launched a range-topping, limited-edition of its flagship SUV, the BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition at a price of Rs 2.02 crore, ex-showroom. Available only in the M50d variant, with a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel engine making 400PS/760Nm, with a claimed 0-100kmph of 5.4s, the X7 Dark Shadow is limited to 500 units worldwide, and of course limited units of the CBU are only available to book online via BMW India's online retail portal. Finished in a BMW Individual custom colour, Frozen Arctic Grey, it marks the first time this particular shade is available on BMW's X line of SUVs. The BMW X7 Dark Shadow Edition is available in a six-seater configuration, with captain seats in the second row, and a 'Sky Lounge' panoramic sunroof that extends to the third row of seats, along with five-zone climate control.Â
Fittingly, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition is specced as standard with the M Sport package, which includes a more sporty chassis setup and M Sport differential, while still offering the SUV's standard adaptive air suspension at all four corners.Â
Apart from the paint scheme, the X7 Dark Shadow Edition wears a black chrome finish on all exterior trim, and as expected the 22-inch wheels are finished in matte black to round off the look. Inside, the special-edition X7 is specced with more options from the BMW Individual catalogue, including Merino leather upholstery finished in night blue/black, with an Alcantara headliner in night blue. Being the range-topper, there's more leather in the cabin than the standard X7, with Merino leather trim extending to the lower section of the instrument panel, and on the front seat backrests.
For reference, the standard BMW X7 M50d is priced at Rs 1.65 crore, with the X7 line-up starting from Rs 95.9 lakh for the xDrive30d variant. The BMW X7 M50d sits in the same class as the Mercedes-Benz GLS.Â
