Mahindra Alturas G4 is likely to be discontinued
Mahindra is expected to phase out the Alturas G4 from the Indian market as the full-size SUV has officially been delisted from the brand's website. Notably, the website also displays a statement stating that the sale of the Alturas G4 is on hold until further notice, citing 'market conditions'.
The Alturas G4 was essentially a rebadged second-generation SsangYong Rexton and used ladder-on-frame chassis. The brand used to assemble the Alturas G4 in India. Meanwhile, it was offered in two variants: Alturas G4 2WD High AT and Alturas G4 4WD AT and they were priced at Rs 30.68 lakh and Rs 31.88 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Mahindra Alturas G4 specificationsPowering the SUV was a 2.2-litre, inline-four, turbocharged diesel engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. This motor produced 180PS and 420Nm of torque. It was available with a choice of front-wheel and four-wheel drive options.
