Mahindra Auto register a sale of 41,908 vehicles in October 2021
Mahindra and Mahindra said that in the month of October 2021, it sold a total of 41,908 automobiles.
This total includes passenger automobiles, commercial vehicles, and exports to international markets. With 20,034 units sold in the previous month, the utility vehicle sector saw a 9 percent increase.
Mahindra sold 96 cars and vans in the domestic market, bringing the total number of passenger vehicles sold to 20,130 in the previous month. When it comes to exports, the company has seen a 57 percent increase, with 3,174 units sent to international markets.
The Mahindra Thar reservations have already surpassed 75,000 units. The Thar is in such high demand that waiting times range from two months to over a year, depending on the model.
Mahindra began the official delivery of the XUV700 petrol version to customers across the country last week. The diesel versions will be delivered by the end of this month, with a goal of 14,000 units delivered by January 14, 2022.
According to Veejay Nakra, Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., "Demand for vehicles across our product portfolio remains robust. We have received an unprecedented response for XUV700 and as per our commitment, we have commenced deliveries of the petrol variant to customers. Exports remain strong with a 57% increase. The supply chain issues around semi-conductor related parts continues to be dynamic as we focus on managing the situation in the short term."
