2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo spied ahead of July 15 India launch
Mahindra has confirmed that its next launch for India will be the Mahindra Bolero Neo. The Bolero Neo is, in fact, the facelifted Mahindra TUV300 now being reintroduced under a new nameplate in the Bolero family.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo exterior changes, dimensionsThe big change with the TUV300 becoming the Mahindra Bolero Neo is the new front look. There is now a new mesh grille with vertical chrome strakes, a familiar Mahindra arrangement. The headlamps have also been redone with new detailing and LEDs while the front bumper has changed to accommodate a more prominent airdam with new foglamp housings. There are redesigned alloy wheels but no sheet metal changes are apparent. The rear remains largely untouched, save for the Bolero Neo badging. The 2,680mm wheelbase should remain unchanged as should the 1,795mm width and 1,817mm height. The 3,995mm length may change marginally to accommodate the new styling, although the SUV will still duck under the 4m limit. Spy shots have suggested a three-row Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus derivative may follow.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo interior changes
The analogue dials and MID from the Mahindra Thar are expected to be seen in the 2021 Bolero Neo. Also expected is the 7-inch infotainment screen available on the Thar and the Marazzo, which offers Android Auto/Apple Carplay. The features list may also be expanded to include automatic climate control, among other things.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo engine
The Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to continue with the 1.5-litre mHawk three-cylinder diesel from the TUV300 and Marazzo, although updated to meet BS6 regulations. Power outputs are expected to remain unchanged at 100PS and 240 Nm. This engine should pair with a six-speed manual as well as the AMT from the Mahindra XUV300.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo expected price, rivalsExpect the Mahindra Bolero Neo to be priced between Rs 9 and 11 lakhs. The Bolero Neo should be positioned below the XUV300 and compete with lower-spec versions of the usual sub-four-metre SUV crowd like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
