Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x2 diesel automatic real-world range & performance figures revealed
Mahindra recently launched the new and much-anticipated Thar Roxx in India and it has also revealed the prices of the long-awaited 4x4 variants, which range from Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom). We carried out the test on the Thar Roxx 4x2 diesel automatic that returned a mileage of 10.7kmpl in the city and 14.9kmpl on the highway.
With the same engine and transmission setup, the new Swift took 10.9 seconds to go from zero to 100kmph. In terms of in gear acceleration, it achieved 30-50kmph in 1.7 seconds, 50-70kmph in 2.4 seconds, and 60-80kmph in 2.8 seconds. On the other hand, the hatchback took flat three seconds to come to a standstill from 100kmph and covered a distance of 39.4 meters.
Mahindra Thar Roxx engine specificationsPowering the Thar Roxx are two 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine options with petrol and diesel options. The mStallion turbo-petrol motor makes 162PS and 330Nm with a six-speed manual gearbox and 177PS and 380Nm with a six-speed torque converter automatic unit. Whereas, the diesel RWD produces 152PS and 330Nm irrespective of the transmission. Then, there is another diesel with an output of 175PS and 370Nm of torque.

Mahindra offers the SUV is seven colour options: Stealth Black, Tango Red, Everest White, Deep Forest, Nebula Blue, Battleship Grey, and Burnt Sienna.
The Thar Roxx comes with a range of features, such as two 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and instrument panel, central headrest, a Type-C port, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, six airbags, Level-2 autonomy, ESP, front and rear parking sensors, 360deg camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and TPMS.
