Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 variants launched at Rs 18.79 lakh
Mahindra has just launched the Thar Roxx 4x4 at a starting price of Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The 4x4 variants will strictly be restricted to the diesel engine and across manual and automatic transmissions. Only 4 variants of the 4x4 car will be available and here's what the prices are.

Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4: HighlightsAs mentioned, the diesel engine is the only powertrain of four-wheel drive Thar Roxx. It is propelled by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 175PS and 380Nm with an automatic transmission and 152PS and 330Nm with a manual gearbox. It is available with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission. Customers interested in a 4x4 Thar with a petrol engine will have to settle for the 3-door version.
The 4x4 variants also get a 'Smart Crawl' which is an off-road cruise control system that can be switched on between 2.5 and 30kph. It also gets 'Intelliturn' which can be activated under 15kph to make tight turns by locking the rear inner wheel based on the directions of the wheel.
The features list includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with compatibility for wireless Android Auto and wired Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, front parking sensors, single pane sunroof, leatherette seats, auto-dimming IRVM, TPMS, level 2 ADAS features, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, electric parking brake, panoramic sunroof, powered driver seat, cooled glovebox, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, and power-folding ORVMs.
Mahindra will open its dealership doors for test drives of the Thar Roxx on October 3 while deliveries will begin on October 12. With the arrival of the 4x4 variants, the Thar Roxx range is now priced at Rs Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
