Mahindra Thar RWD launched - Variants explained
Mahindra has launched the Thar RWD in India with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). The introductory pricing is applicable for only the first 10,000 customers. This rear-wheel drive model is available in a choice of three variants: AX (O) diesel MT, LX diesel MT, and LX petrol AT. Notably, all three variants come with a hard-top roof as standard. Powering the Mahindra Thar RWD is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine producing 117PS and 300Nm of torque. It can be mated to only a six-speed manual gearbox. On the other hand, the 2.0-litre, inline-four, turbocharged mStallion petrol motor makes 150PS and 320Nm of torque and is solely paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
