Mahindra XUV 3XO and XUV400 EV score 5-stars in BNCAP safety test
The Mahindra XUV 3XO and XUV400 are the latest vehicles that underwent the Bharat NCAP safety test and both cars came out with flying colours. The compact SUV and its electric sibling scored a 5-star in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) crash test.
The XUV 3XO got 29.36 points out of a total of 32 in adult occupant protection (AOP) and 43 points out of 49 in child occupant protection (COP). 6 airbags, electronic stability control, seat belt reminder, and a pre-tensioner with load limiter were all standard on the tested XUV 3XO prototype.
The XUV 3XO achieved a perfect score of 16 out of 16 in the Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test and 13.36 out of 16 in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test. It received 7 out of 13 points in the vehicle assessment test and 24 out of 24 in the dynamic test and 12 out of 12 in the CRS installation test.
Mahindra XUV400The XUV400 received a score of 43 out of 49 for child occupant protection and 30.38 out of 32 for adult occupant protection. Both received a 5-star rating as a result of these outstanding ratings.
The XUV400 EV received a perfect score of 16 out 16 in the side moveable deformable barrier test and 14.38 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. The XUV400 scored simlar points to the 3XO in the vehicle assement test, dynamic test and CRS installaition test.
