Mahindra XUV.e9 spotted testing once again
It's no secret that Mahindra is currently busy working on several EVs which they are set to roll out in the coming few years. Among these is the XUV.e9, which has now been spotted on test in a near-production configuration, displaying several design hints. The car is expected to debut in April 2025 and is essentially an electric-powered coupe model of the XUV700 SUV.
The photos show the EV's unique huge front profile, vertically stacked taillights, large aerodynamic wheels, and a distinctive curved light bar in the rear profile. The broad C pillar running into the boot lid is also seen in the most recent spy photos.
The coupe-SUV's rear has linked LED taillights. The license plate housing will be positioned on the back bumper, while the tailgate will display the Mahindra twin peaks logo.
Inside, the XUV.e9 will have a futuristic dashboard with three 12.3-inch screens and a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel. The SUV is also likely to include a head-up display with augmented navigation, Level 2 ADAS, and vehicle-to-load capability.
Based on the same INGLO platform, Mahindra has stated that battery capacities would range between 60 and 80 kWh, adding that both RWD single motor and AWD twin motor configurations are possible.
The XUV.e9 will be positioned above the XUV.e8 SUV in Mahindra's EV lineup and may become the company's flagship product in India. The XUV.e9 will essentially be an SUV-coupe variant of the XUV.e8 which is set to debut later this year.
