Mahindra XUV400 Formula Edition unveiled
Mahindra has unveiled the XUV400 Formula Edition with a distinctive livery inspired by the racing spirit to commemorate the first Formula E race in India. On the livery design of the Gen3 vehicle, the Mahindra Formula E and Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (M.A.D.E.) teams worked together to bring the excitement of this thrilling sport to life.
The Formula edition of the electric SUV, according to the automaker, features a unique livery that is motivated by the competitive spirit. Together with the Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) studio in the UK, Mahindra Formula E created the livery for their most recent racing vehicle.
Highlights of the livery include 'Mahindra' branding on the hood and sides, as well as a combination of copper and red finishes. Additionally, the alloy wheels have copper highlights, and the C-pillar has the team name "Mahindra Racing."
Mahindra has two battery packs for the XUV400: a 34.5kWh pack with an MIDC-rated range of 375km and a 39.4kWh unit with a range of up to 456km. The EV's front wheels are driven by a motor with 150PS and 310Nm of torque.
The battery of the EV can also be completely charged in six and a half hours using a 7.2kW AC wallbox charger. A 3.3kW charger, on the other hand, requires 13 hours to do the same task. Additionally, it has a "single-pedal" mode, and the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.3 seconds. The battery can be recharged using 50kW DC fast-charging on the XUV400 in under an hour.
