Maruti Suzuki Baleno now gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
After rolling out a software update for the Brezza, Maruti Suzuki has now rolled out an over-the-air (OTA) update for the Baleno. With this update, users can now connect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly. Launched in February this year, the hatchback is available in a choice of four variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha, alongside two CNG variants.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Wireless connectivity
The range-topping Zeta and Alpha variants of the Baleno are equipped with a nine-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, a heads-up display, and an analogue instrument cluster with an integrated MID. This software update has given it a handful of new features, such as wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with turn-by-turn navigation on the heads-up display and MID.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Highlights
Maruti offers a host of features with the Baleno, such as LED projector headlights and fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, more than 40 connected car features, six airbags, ESP, hill hold control, a 360-degree camera, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, auto-dimming IRVM, and cruise control, among others.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Engine, transmission, and power output
The Baleno gets a new 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated, Dual Jet, Dual VVT petrol engine with idle start-stop technology. This motor generates 90PS and 113Nm of torque. It comes mated to five-speed manual or AMT automatic transmission options. Meanwhile, the Maruti Baleno competes against the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Toyota Glnaza, and Honda Jazz.
