Maruti Suzuki Brezza manual no longer available with mild hybrid functionality
Maruti Suzuki has said to have discreetly revised the features of the Brezza and Brezza S-CNG. As a part of this update, the SUV loses a safety few features. However, the carmaker has also given it a new feature. The Brezza is available in four petrol and three CNG variants across nine distinctive colour options.
First up, the most significant change to the Brezza is the removal of mild hybrid functionality, which Maruti calls Progressive Smart Hybrid Technology, from the manual gearbox variants. Whereas, the Brezza automatic variants continue to benefit from mild hybrid technology. As a result, the mileage of the Brezza manual in the absence of mild hybrid system is likely to go down.
Further, the Brezza CNG variants, such as LXi, VXi, and ZXi, will not be available with safety features, such as hill-hold assist and the Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
On the flip side, all variants of the SUV (petrol and CNG) now come equipped with seatbelt reminders for all passengers, including three rear occupants, similar to the Jimny and Fronx. The seat-belt reminder system was previously restricted to only driver and co-passenger.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Features
Apart from the aforementioned changes, the Brezza carries forward six airbags, a heads-up display, an electric sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Suzuki Connect, 360deg camera, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, USB Type-C and Type-A ports, cruise control, cooled glove box, and LED projector headlamps, among others.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Variants and ColoursThe Brezza is available in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus variants, while the Brezza CNG is offered in LXi, VXi, and ZXi variants. The colour options for the SUV include nine shades, namely Pearl Arctic White, Brave Khakhi, Sizzling Red, Splendid Silver, Exuberant Blue, Magma Grey, and Pearl Midnight Black, along with Brave Khakhi with Arctic White, Splendid Silver with Midnight Black, and Sizzling Red with Midnight Black.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza Powertrain
Powering the Brezza is a 1.5-litre, inline four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. It makes 103.1PS and 137Nm of torque, whereas the CNG version produces 87.8PS and 121.5Nm of torque. The CNG variants are coupled to only a five-speed manual gearbox.
