Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara surpasses two lakh unit sales milestone
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has achieved a new sales milestone, crossing the two lakh unit sales mark in before completing two years to its market launch. Introduced in September 2022, the SUV had hit the one lakh unit sales mark in 10 months since the launch. The Grand Vitara is claimed to represent a market share of 12 per cent in the first quarter of FY2024.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Variants & coloursMaruti offers the Grand Vitara SUV in six variants, namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha, and Alpha+ across nine colour options: Nexa Blue, Grandeur Grey, Chestnut Brown, Opulent Red, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, and the recently added Midnight Black along with three dual-tone paint schemes: Arctic White with Midnight Black, Opulent Red with black roof, and Splendid Silver with Midnight Black.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Engine specifications
Powering the Grand Vitara is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 103PS and 136.8Nm of torque. This unit comes mated to a five-speed manual and an automatic transmission. Then, there is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor paired with Toyota's TNGA Atkinson cycle hybrid technology. The total system output is rated at 115.56PS, while the engine makes 92.45PS and 122Nm. The strong hybrid can be had only with an e-CVT automatic transmission. Not to mention, the SUV gets the 1.5-litre petrol unit coupled with a CNG kit, which delivers 88PS and 121.5Nm of torque in the CNG mode. It returns a claimed mileage of 26.6km/kg. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki also offers AllGrip all-wheel-drive system with Grand Vitara, however, it is solely available with the petrol mild-hybrid manual gearbox version.
