Maruti Suzuki Ignis Radiance Editon launched at Rs 5.49 lakh
Maruti Suzuki has introduced the new Ignis Radiance Edition, priced at Rs 5.49 lakh. This special edition of the hatchback brings a host of strictly cosmetic enhancements. The brand also claims to have sold 2.8 lakh units of the Ignis since its launch in January 2017.
The Ignis Radiance Editon based on the Sigma trim will be the new entry point for the hatchback. The Radiance Editon adds bits such as wheel covers for the 15-inch steel wheels, a door visor and chrome highlights which cost Rs 3,650. The higher-spec variants of the Radiance Editon get features worth Rs 9,500 and these include new seat covers, black cushions, cladding on the doors and a door visor.
Mechanically things remain unchanged. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol motor that puts out 83PS and 113Nm. This is paired with a five-speed manual or AMT.
Higher spec versions of the Ignis get features such as a Smartplay Studio also comes with navigation and can be had with six speakers. It is also compatible with Android Auto/Apple Carplay. Other notable features present in this variant are steering mounted control, push-button start, electrically folding outer mirrors, fog lamps, alloy wheels and chrome accents on the grille.
A top-of-the-line Ignis Alpha will set you back 8.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ignis faces fierce coemption from its very own siblings like the WagonR and Swift as well as the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Citroen C3.
