Maruti Suzuki subscription program garners over 1,600 users
Over 1,780 people have signed up for Maruti Suzuki Subscribe, the automaker's scheme that allows customers to own their automobiles without actually purchasing them. The carmaker reported that in the first year following its debut, more than 180 clients subscribed to its automobiles, while in the subsequent year, more than 1,600 customers signed up.
Maruti Suzuki believes that without actually purchasing the automobiles, this scheme gives consumers a hassle-free ownership experience. According to claims, the program's year-over-year growth was close to 800 percent. Customers of the service must pay an all-inclusive set monthly leasing fee.
With the Maruti Suzuki Subscription program, customers may select from a variety of Maruti Suzuki vehicles for various lease terms at a flat, all-inclusive monthly rental rate. After the term is over, the consumer can choose to either buy the automobile they have subscribed to or swap to a different one.
Speaking on the two-year anniversary, Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director - Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said "The modern consumer is living a fast-paced life, where they prefer having flexible options when it comes to buying valuable assets. Launched in 2020, during peak of pandemic, Maruti Suzuki Subscription Program revolutionized the way in which people can own a car. With this program, we are making personal mobility more accessible to the masses. The interest shown by consumers towards our Subscribe Program has helped us grow our network from 15 cities in 2021 to 20 cities in 2022 and we shall be creating many more such milestones in the near future."
