Maruti Suzuki Swift surpasses 30 lakh sales milestone
Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that the very popular Swift hatchback has surpassed the 30 lakh sales milestone in India. TheSwift was launched in India in 2005 and surpassed 10 lakh sales in 2013. The affordable hatchback grew in popularity and breached the 20 lakh sales mark in 2018, and now the iconic sporty hatchback has driven past its next milestone.
The success of the Swift comes down to the fact that the first-generation car set the benchmark when it offered segment-first features such as climate control, airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS). Another reason the Swift grew so popular was because of its sporty driving nature as it offered a great bang for your buck from a driver's perspective.

The fourth generation which was launched in May 2024 is priced at Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in a choice of five variants, namely LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+.
