May issue is out on stands now
The May 2012 issue of OVERDRIVE is here with the latest road tests, first drives and features, all just to get your adrenaline pumping. First off, there is Audi's new baby SUV that we got our hands on for an exclusive, in depth road test. Read Bert's opinion on the Q3 as well as what the prospective buyers have to say. Sirish, Bert and the boys went up north, made a snow-woman and while they were at it also ploughed the snow using the Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Rover Discovery, Mitsubishi Montero and a Mercedes GL350. As if that wasn't enough they kicked up some dirt doing donuts in a Renault Koleos, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe, Mitsubishi Outlander and a BMW X1.
Sirish meanwhile decided he hadn't had enough of the mountains and ran away to Switzerland to drive a Ferrari FF in snow. Not one to be left behind, Bert flew to Spain to drive the Bentley Continental that now has a V8 powerplant. Maruti's latest offering is here and Joe was in Goa to drive it and give you a firsthand account. Halley was in Chennai for a date with the new, more powerful Renault Fluence E4D.
Meanwhile, Shumi took the 200 Duke to the track at Coimbatore to face off with the R15 and the CBR250R. Abhay has been running around town on a bright red Ducati Monster 795 and then went on to ride the new Suzuki Swish. Ashok got to ride the new Vespa and hasn't stopped raving about it.
And it's not just road test after road test. Halley gives you all the information you ever wanted about four wheel drive, Bert tells you about Vredestein and their high performance tyres and Abhay gets behind the wheel of a Baja Buggy. All this apart from the latest in Indian and international motorsport and all the automotive news you could ask for.
This issue also marks a big moment for us at OVERDRIVE. After 145 issues, this was the last one with Sirish at the helm. He has decided to "jump over to the dark side" âÂ" as he puts it. The last time you will get to read the razor sharp and witty 'Opposing Lock'. We bid him farewell and godspeed.
