McLaren Artura Spider: Powertrain

The 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine has been recalibrated to provide an additional 20PS. It also includes an E-motor housed in the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox bell housing. Both units deliver a total of 700 PS and 720 Nm of torque to the rear wheels.

The car accelerates the Artura Spider from 0 to 100 kmph in 3 seconds flat, 0-200 kmph in 8.4 seconds, and 0-300 kmph in 21.6 seconds. The top speed is limited to 330 kmph. It has a Launch Control system for optimal track performance, as well as three dynamic handling modes: Comfort, Sport, and Track. The Artura also has an only electric power range of 33 kilometres.

New, firmer engine mountings, changed gearbox calibration for 25 percent faster shifts, improved braking performance, and better damping control all contribute to an even more compelling driving experience.

McLaren Artura Spider: Highlights

The new Artura Spider weighs 1,457kg, which is mostly owing to the McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The retractable hard top (RHT) roof, comprised of carbon fibre and composite panels, folds and unfolds in approximately 11 seconds and can do so at up to speeds of 50 kmph .

The new Artura Spider's cockpit has a basic steering wheel with no buttons or controls, sculpted shifting paddles, a McLaren Clubsport seat, and the McLaren infotainment and connectivity system (MIS II) with two high-definition screens. Audio is routed through a five-speaker McLaren Audio System or an optional Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker surround sound audio system. Lane Departure Warning and Road Sign Recognition are standard safety features; Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Switchable Follow Mode, Auto High-Beam Assist, Blindspot Monitoring, and Rear Cross-Traffic Detection are available as options.
