Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line launched at Rs 97.85 lakh
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the AMG Line in the GLE 300d variant with a price tag of Rs. 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry-level diesel 300d model is replaced by the new AMG Line variant, which also sports some AMG-only aesthetic changes. This AMG line costs about Rs 1.20 lakh more than the now-discontinued standard variant of the 300d.
With the GLE 200d AMG Line, you now get a more sportier overall appeal. There is just one chrome slat and one little tri-pointed star motif on the grille. Then there's the bumper, which now sports sportier-looking air vents to give the front end a more aggressive appearance. Tremolite grey 20-inch AMG alloy wheels are another feature of the new GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line vehicle. The diffuser at the rear has been finished in gloss black on the back.
The car's interior features a 13-speaker Burmester audio system and the most recent MBUX system. The rest of the cabin remains the same.
Mercedes-Benz GLE 300d 4Matic AMG Line: PowertrainThe GLE 300d's 2.0-litre diesel engine, which produces 269PS and 550Nm of torque, will remain the same. There is a 9-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to all four wheels. An integrated starter-generator (ISG) with a 48V mild hybrid adds 20 horsepower and 200Nm to the maximum outputs. The GLE can sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 6.9 seconds and Mercedes claims it has a top speed of 230kph.
The GLE is now available for between Rs 97.85 lakh and Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom) and takes on the likes of the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Audi Q7, and Lexus RX.
