Mercedes Vision AMG concept car unveiled and will make it to production in 2025
The Mercedes Vision AMG concept car is an all-electric vehicle. The Vision AMG, according to Mercedes-AMG, is a peek into AMG Driving Performance's all-electric future.
The planned electric sports vehicle is built on a completely specialized electric architecture that was created from the ground up for a 4-door coupe body shape. In 2025, the vehicle is planned to go into production.
The Mercedes-AMG Vision electric car idea has a flowing, monolithic form with few joints and closed lines. Mercedes-AMG has painted the back and side windows in the same Alubeam silver as the car to complete the monolithic effect. The manufacturer has created a series with athletic proportions that are visible from the side.
The front grille of the Vision AMG concept EV includes vertical bars that are unique, but it has been closed up and painted in body colour, and it has been totally incorporated into the front end. The three-pointed star, which is comparable to Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, is accompanied by lit vertical bars with a three-dimensional outer shape.
In the back, there's a dynamic rear wing with a sleek lighted bar that runs the length of the design. Brake lights that light up in the shape of an exhaust pipe are mounted above the hefty diffuser.
The Vision AMG's powertrain was created from the ground up. According to Mercedes-AMG, the AMG.EA platform has a high-performance high-voltage battery and breakthrough powertrain technology. The Axial Flux Motor created by Mercedes-wholly-owned Benz's subsidiary YASA is the showpiece of the Vision AMG's powertrain system.
The CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH Philipp Schiemer stated "With this study, we are now offering a first glimpse of how we are transferring the AMG DNA into the allâÂ'electric future, starting in 2025".
