MG Hector based Wuling Almaz strong hybrid revealed
A strong-hybrid version of the MG Hector, also known as the Wuling Almaz in the Indonesian market, is currently available. This vehicle also provides a sneak preview of the MG Hector's future redesign.
The Almaz strong-hybrid combines a 2-litre normally aspirated gasoline engine with an electric motor that produces 174PS and 320Nm for a combined output of 123PS and 168Nm. It has a front-wheel drive system, an e-CVT, and a 1.8kWh battery pack.
Three driving modes are available for the Almaz hybrid, EV mode, Series Hybrid and Parallel Hybrid.
Blue accents both inside and outside the Almaz Hybrid serve to emphasize its electrified character. It has 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, blue surrounds for the front fog light housings, a blue inlay in the front bumper, and these characteristics. The presence of the "hybrid" emblem to distinguish it from the standard version at the back is the main distinction. The following features are anticipated in the next MG Hector upgrade.
The 10.4-inch touchscreen display, panoramic sunroof, and connected vehicle features are included with the Wuling Almaz Hybrid. The advanced driving assistance system (ADAS), which includes lane-keeping assistance, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and frontal collision warning, is its standout feature (LKA).
The majority of these technologies, with the exception of ADAS, are also available on the MG Hector built for the Indian market, although the bigger display will only be available on the facelifted model.
In comparison to the present model, which starts at Rs 14.43 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, and Jeep Compass, the future facelifted Hector would probably fetch a higher price.
