MG Hector Plus gets two new variants

MG Motor India has introduced two new variants to the hector Plus lineup. The SUV is now available in Select Pro Petrol CVT and Smart Pro Diesel MT trims priced at Rs 19.72 lakh and Rs 20.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

Previously exclusively offered with a manual transmission, the mid-spec petrol Select Pro model now also comes with a CVT automatic. There is now a 7-seater option for the entry-level diesel Smart Pro model, which was previously only offered in a 6-seater configuration.

A digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, an engine start/stop button with Smart Key, and more than 75 connected car functions are all included with the new Select Pro Petrol CVT and Smart Pro Diesel MT models.

A 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine producing 143PS and 250Nm of torque powers the new Select Pro petrol CVT version of the MG Hector Plus. Similarly, a 2.0-liter engine producing 170PS and 350Nm of torque powers the Smart Pro diesel MT variant.

The MG Hector Plus takes on the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari and the Toyota Innova Hycross in the Indian SUV market.
