MG Motor launches a new mid-trim in the Hector range - Hector Shine
The Hector name from MG Motor has grown extremely popular in the Indian market due to its vast internet connectivity features. With MG having given the Hector a mid-life facelift at the beginning of 2021, MG is now all set to launch a brand new mid-trim in the Hector range.
Known as the 'Shine' it will be positioned between the second-to-base Super and the second-to-top Smart. The Shine will have the same amenities like the Super, plus a host of more features including telescopic steering wheel adjustment, chrome exterior door handles, push-button start/stop, electric parking brake, keyless entry with the smart key, and a sunroof (not panoramic).
Except for the base-spec Style, MG will offer a new Havana Grey colour option with all SUV models. Leather seat coverings, an air purifier, a wireless charger, 3D floor mats, leather wrap for the steering wheel, and window sunshades will all be included in the Shine's extras package.
The MG Hector Shine will feature the 1.5 litre turbo-petrol which produces 143PS and 250 Nm of torque and 2 litre diesel engines with 170PS and 350 Nm of torque will be available in the MG Hector Shine. A 6-speed manual transmission will be standard, while a CVT will be available as an option for the turbo-petrol engine. The petrol-hybrid system and the DCT transmission, however, will not be available on this new mid-spec trim.
The Hector Shine will start at Rs 14.51 lakh and continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and Kia Seltos.
