MG Windsor EV to feature 15.6-inch infotainment screen
Ahead of the India launch on 11 September, JSW MG Motor India has confirmed that its upcoming Windsor EV will get a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This all-electric model will be the third offering from the brand after the Comet EV and ZS EV.
This 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system is called the Grandview display. It is a floating unit located in the centre of the dashboard. As seen in the picture, the display will have a quick access panel for system settings, vehicle controls, temperature control menu, and music. It will also feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. MG is also expected to offer a voice assistant and regional language support.
Apart from that, the Windsor EV could boast a panoramic sunroof, 360deg camera, ambient lighting, all-digital instrument cluster, blind spot monitor, powered tailgate, wireless charging pad, USB Type-C ports, connected car tech, telematics, TPMS, six airbags, ESP, traction control, VSM, ABS with EBD, and more.
The India-spec model may come powered by a 50.6kWh or 37.9kWh battery pack with a range of 460km and 360km, respectively. A front axle-mounted electric motor makes 136PS and 200Nm of torque when paired with the larger battery pack. The EV with a DC charger can charged from 30 to 100 percent in half an hour. Meanwhile, the Windsor EV is likely to be priced between Rs 16-22 lakh.
