More details leaked ahead of the launch of the new Maruti Suzuki Alto
Prior to its unveiling on August 18, a leaked document disclosed some more important information regarding the 2022 Maruti Alto K10. The upcoming compact hatchback will be exclusively available with a 1-litre K10C petrol engine and will slot between the existing 800cc Alto and S-Presso in the carmaker's lineup.
There won't be any dual-tone colours for the new Alto; instead, it will come in six monotone colours. The new Alto will be available in the colours Solid White, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue, and Earth Gold, according to the leaked picture.
A 1-litre K10C Dualjet petrol engine, previously used in the Celerio and S-Presso hatchbacks, will power the Maruti Alto K10. 67PS and 89Nm of output are anticipated, and a CNG variant will also be offered. A 5-speed manual transmission will be the default transmission for the K10C engine, with an AMT automatic transmission option available on some versions.
Based on Maruti's Heartect platform, the new Alto K10 is longer and higher than the outgoing Alto. Along with a new external appearance, it will have a large lower-placed front grille, halogen headlights that have been pushed back, turn indicators that are positioned on the fenders, square taillamps, and steel wheels with coverings.
The Maruti Suzuki Alto's interior features a tidy dashboard with a monochromatic design. It comes with a 12-volt accessory outlet in the centre console, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital instrument cluster. Other features could include keyless entry, and twin airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS are standard on all hatchback models.
