New Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG now available in Delhi NCR
Bajaj Auto has introduced the new Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle in New Delhi. Launched in July this year, the first CNG motorcycle was delivered in Pune, Maharashtra. The brand has said that it will launch the Freedom 125 in 77 towns across in India on the 15 August to commemorate the 77 Independence Day of India.
Powering the Freedom 125 is a 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9.5PS at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. This motor is paired with a five-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims that it can return a fuel economy of of 102km/kg in the CNG mode, and 65kmpl when using petrol. As a result, the combined range of the motorcycle is rated at 334km.
The 2kg CNG tank is inside the frame new trellis frame for the safety. Additionally, there is a 2-litre conventional petrol tank. However, the fuel filler cap is shared between the petrol and CNG. Like the CNG cars, the Bajaj CNG motorcycle gets a blue button on the switchgear to switch between the two fuels.
In terms of features and hardware, Bajaj has given it an LED headlight, an all-digital cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, telescopic front forks, a linked rear monoshock, a disc at the front, and a drum brake at the rear. It uses 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The Freedom 125 has a seat height of 825mm and weighs 147kg.
