New BMW iX1 EV sold out in India within a few hours of launch
BMW India has announced the sale of all allocated units of the iX1 for the Indian market in 2023 within just a few hours of its launch. The booking process for the entry-level BMW electric SUV was conducted exclusively online through the official brand website. While the automaker has not disclosed the specific number of units allocated for the country, the strong demand for the iX1 suggests a promising start in the Indian electric vehicle market. Despite the demand leading to a sold-out status, it is likely that BMW will allocate additional units of the iX1 for the Indian market in the future.
The all-new iX1, priced at Rs 66.90 lakh (ex-showroom), was offered in a single trim, the xDrive30 M Sport. It carries a design closely resembling the traditional X1. The India-spec model features M Sport trim, including M-spec design elements and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the iX1's cabin, a modern and minimalist design offers vegan leather upholstery and a single-piece panel housing a 10.25-inch driver display and a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
