New-gen 2020 Hyundai Creta SUV receives over 1.15 lakh bookings
Hyundai India has announced the achievement of milestone booking numbers for the new-gen Creta. Launched in March this year at Rs. 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Hyundai dealerships across the country have received more than 1.15 lakh bookings for the SUV. With this, the company now has a market share of 26 per cent between January 2020 and September 2020. Further, Hyundai has sold a total of 5.2 lakh units of the Creta since its launch in 2015.
The company mentions, 60 per cent customers opt for diesel-powered variants of the new-gen Creta. The Creta gets three engine options, which it shares with the similar Kia Seltos. These are a 1.5-litre petrol with 115PS/144Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel motor with 115PS/250Nm and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 140PS and 242Nm. There are three automatic options, aside from a 6-speed manual. There will be a CVT, a 6-speed auto and a 7-speed DCT. The CVT is paired to the N/A petrol, the diesel is available with the torque converter while the turbo-petrol can be had with the DCT. There is no manual turbo option as in the Kia.
