New-gen Hyundai Verna spotted with ADAS sensor
The upcoming new generation Hyundai Verna prototypes have already been spotted on multiple occasions. The recently spied prototype model appeared to feature an ADAS sensor in the front bumper, hinting that some autonomy features could make their way to the all-new Verna. Meanwhile, the South Korean carmaker is expected to unveil the next generation sometime at the beginning of next year.
Hyundai has been testing the new Verna for a while. The latest spy shots suggest that the camouflaged Verna prototype could be wearing a production-ready body. Not to mention, it seemed to be equipped with an ADAS sensor at the front. If the spy shot is to go by, the new Verna would be the third Hyundai offering in India after the Tucson and upcoming Ioniq 5 to feature advanced driver assistance systems. However, the sedan is unlikely to get Level 2 autonomous driving capabilities like its elder siblings.
New-Generation Hyundai Verna Exterior and InteriorThe new Verna is expected to bear a new design language, bringing in a new grille, front and rear lights, bumpers, wheels, and so on. The headlights could be placed lower in the bumper, as against the conventional setup. On the other hand, the interior could feature a fresh design, new upholstery, and modern-day features. Meanwhile, Hyundai is likely to offer it with a digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system, an electric sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front powered seats, and 60 connected car features.
New-Generation Hyundai Verna SpecificationsSince Hyundai is still testing the Verna prototype, its powertrain details are unavailable as of now. However, rumours suggest that it will come powered by 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options paired with manual and automatic transmissions. Hyundai is also expected to offer the iMT transmission.
